It is the simple truth that performance-chasing is a losing strategy.

Constantly rotating between what is working today to working tomorrow rarely gets you anywhere.

I know it’s tempting!

We are hypnotized with marketing messages from the industry guru’s that over promise and under deliver. They use “trigger points” that drive your need to find the answer. They can talk about your problems. Maybe even use a voice in your industry that creates particular problems and knows how to find the solution. They use words to identify with you, your lifestyle and your business. They’ve been there, right where you are now!

As you read, you cannot believe it. They know what you are going through. They feel the same pain and disappointment of the business. They could have lived next door. Maybe even their children go to the same school as your children.

Wake up!

It is the simple truth that sometimes we need to “plow it up and plant”. Our performance strategies and tactics have eroded with economic climate change.
 
Instead of chasing systems, find someone to mentor your business. Your mentor may not have the same career path you are plowing, but their business savvy and experience can surely help you develop a skill set that is capped off with a friendship of trust and satisfaction.

People helping people, not innovative but a simple truth!
