Maverick Rules

The Maverick Builder Rule of Mining

The Maverick Rule of Mining is "when digging always bring some help!"

When the prospectors of the 1800's went to California for Gold, the teamed together in wagon trains, circuit riders, and hunting expeditions to travel to narrow paths to prosperity.  There was safety in numbers, comfort in companionship, and ideas that stirred the heart and the wallet.

These miners braved all for their piece of the rock.

Some took on the mountain and streams by themselves.  Failure was hard on these gold diggers.  Working alone one tends to hear voices (questions) when things don't quite meet our expectations.

Others worked in packs and shared in the reward or disappointment.  Working together helped during the disappointing times and encouragement by one spread to others.

The Real Estate guru's all talk about "sowing".  Planting for the future.  This is a great practice and should be part of your monthly work.

But what about now!

You need business now.  Not in 6 or 12 months.  Well, dust off your pan, you need to go mining!  And to mine you will need miners.  Not feeders, miners.  These miners will work with you to create customers now.  Why?   Because they need customers too!

Who are these miners and how do you find them?

To find them you need to make a list of the services or products that your client buys before they purchase and after they purchase a home.  These services and products are going after your same client. The problem lies in that everyone is mining by themselves and during a "cold spell"; they use the pan for food and not for gold.

These miners are spending money, time, and energy going after the same client.  No support, no one to lean on, no one to bounce ideas off of, and no coordination.

Your business should be working with miners.

Here are just a couple of reasons:

•1.      Achieve advantages of scale, scope and speed

•2.     Develop new business opportunities

•3.     Augment product development

•4.     Expand your market sector

•5.     Reduce marketing costs

•6.     Boost your market presence

•7.     Join emerging markets

•8.     You only have 2 hands

I can list 42 other benefits, but that another blog!

I think you'll agree that the case for mining is compelling.  It can be an essential strategy for achieving business now.  It can also enhance your reputation, your presence, and your business matra.

***Better late than never . . . . mining is one of the most powerful ways to make a preemptive move for the next cycle!  (both up and down)

You need business now!

So go make you camp, bring along "Cookie" and start digging.  There is Gold in them hills!
